"American Literature and the Free Market, 1945-2000" (2015/2010)

New York City: Cambridge University Press (Book), 2015.
9.125" x 6" x 0.625", 211 pages, softcover (after a 2010 hardcover printing).

American Literature and the Free Market, 1945-2000, by Michael W. Clune, first published by Cambridge University Press (New York City) as a hardcover in 2010, and later as a 2015 softcover.

This is perhaps an unexpected place to spot Burroughs, given the economic focus of the book, but a full chapter is dedicated to Burroughs – "William Burroughs' virtual mind" – between pages 77 and 102.  This focuses on the Cut-Up Method, and the trilogy consisting of The Soft Machine, The Ticket That Exploded, and Nova Express.

Not in Schottlaender.
