A program for The Bay Area William S. Burroughs Memorial Tribute: A Celebration of His Life and Work, as held at the San Francisco Art Institute at 7 pm, 23 April 1999.

The front cover is a grid borrowed from Brion Gysin's contributions to The Third Mind, and the back cover of Burroughs rowing is from a photograph taken by Allen Ginsberg on Lone Star Lake near Lawrence, Kansas, US on 30 May 1991.

Inside the program is a reproduction of Burroughs' last words, as inscribed in his journal, and a list of events for the Tribute.

Peter Maravelis (City Lights) and V. Vale (RE/Search) provided opening statements. This was followed by screenings of Towers Open Fire, Bill & Tony, William Buys a Parrot, and The Cut-Ups. This was then followed by the following speakers: Harold Norse, Michael McClure, Barry Gifford, Diane di Prima, Jello Biafra, Charles Gatewood, Ron Loewensohn, S. Clay Wilson, and Mindaugis Bagdon. James Grauerholz provided the closing statements.
