Michael White's Signed Volume XI fascicle of "Naropa Journals", with Letter (1994)

Cookeville, Tennessee: Michael White (chapbook, memoir, journal, letter), 1994.
8.5" x 5.5", 20 leaves, 37 numbered pages, pasted-in frontispiece, signed, stapled wraps.

Naropa Journals, Volume XI, July 2-9, 1994 by Michael White. This is a self-published chapbook of journal entries by Michael White from the dedication of the Allen Ginsberg Library at Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado.  Unnumbered, and the edition size is unknown, yet likely very small. This relates to Michael White's book [as J. M. White], Naropa Journals (2015)

This has only passing mentions of Burroughs in this volume, being from 1994, but is included here for its relevance to the full book, which more centrally discusses Burroughs.

This copy is signed by Michael White on the title page, with a sun motif surrounding a William Blake quotation. This is accompanied by a typed and signed letter from Michael to Jeffrey Weinberg of Water Row Books, the book's prior owner, dated 6 January 1994. This mentions Michael “trying to get some of [his] manuscripts published and trying to put together a ‘multi-media literary experience’ about Kerouac/Ginz/WSB/et al – to play on the campus circuit”.

This chapbook and letter were acquired directly from Jeffrey Weinberg of Water Row Books.
