Here to Go: Planet R-101, Brion Gysin interviewed by Terry Wilson, as published in softcover [shown] and hardcover [rare, 100 copies] editions by Re/Search Publications (San Francisco, California, US) in 1982. The series editor was Genesis P-Orridge. Produced by Andrea Juno, Francisco de Oliveira Mattos, and Vale. Cover design by Stan Bingo and Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson. Cover photography by Brion Gysin and Nicolas Tikhomirov. Photographic assistance by Bobby Adams and Jim Morton. The design consultant was Rebecca Wilson. Translations by Martine Willoughby.
This is a book of interviews with Brion Gysin by Terry Wilson, with a preface by William S. Burroughs.
Burroughs appears throughout the text, including quotes, excerpts, photographs, and a section of the screenplay for Naked Lunch.
This copy was poet Ira Cohen's copy and is inscribed to him from Brion Gysin and Terry Wilson. Terry Wilson wrote at the title page: "for Ira Cohen / with best wishes / & appreciation / Terry / London / 10.10.82". Gysin inscribed below this: "And love / from Brion / Paris 11 Nov 82".
Gysin also inscribed this to Ira at the top of page 69, with a small calligraphic drawing: "Love always / Brion". This is a page where Brion discusses Ira Cohen, whom he notes "I love dearly and devotedly, and really have for many years".
This book also came with a postcard tucked into its covers, from Terry Wilson to Ira Cohen, February 1983. This postcard shows the plaster casts by Carolyn Gosselin (the "Bandaged Poet Series") of Lewis MacAdams, Ed Dorn, and Brion Gysin [his foot with the amputated toe]. Terry Wilson wrote: "Dear Ira / Hope everything's well and fine with / you... Here, praise be, it looks / like Thames & Hudson will publish / 'Here to Go' this summer. Brion / sounds very well after operation – / love to all – / Terry"
