This cassette set – which is not listed on Discogs at the time of this post – corresponds to the four-CD set released as The Best of William Burroughs by Giorno Poetry Systems in 1998, with cassette 1 covering the same material as disc 1 of the released set, and so on. The Best of William Burroughs by Giorno Poetry Systems was not officially released on cassette.

This is not to be confused with the promotional sampler on cassette, nor the one on CD, which was also released as a companion to Word Virus.
