Burroughs referencing. The 1979 release by Lovely Music / Vital Records of Gordon Mumma's The Dresden Interleaf 13 February 1945 [1965], Music from the Venezia Space Theatre [1964], and Megaton for Wm. Burroughs [1963]. Megaton is a 23'30" track inspired by the Burroughs (and Gysin) book The Exterminator. It was first performed at the ONCE Festival of Contemporary Music in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and this is the first recording of the performance.
Megaton for Wm. Burroughs was composed at the Cooperative Studio for Electronic Arts in Ann Arbor, Michigan, US, and was remixed at The Center for Contemporary Music, Mills College, Oakland, California, US. Additional engineering by Maggi Payne.
This LP was designed by Patrick Vitacco and Ken Cornet.
