Ballantine edition of Anthony Burgess' "A Clockwork Orange" (1965)

New York City: Ballantine Books (book, fiction), 1965.
7" x 4.25" x 0.5", 191 pages, softcover.

A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, as published in a softcover edition by Ballantine Books (New York City) in 1965. Pictured is the first printing. Afterword by Stanley Edgar Hyman. A "Glossary of Nasdat Language" concludes the book.

Burroughs contributes a blurb to the rear cover of the Ballantine softcover printings. The blurb reads: “One of the few books I have been able to read in years. I do not know of any other writer who has done as much with language as Mr. Burgess has done here… The fact that this is also a very funny book may pass unnoticed.”

This blurb is apparently on all Ballantine softcover printings.
