This book consists of reproductions of all of the front covers of Evergreen Review between 1957 and 1973, as well as a number of reproduced pages and items from the issues. Also included are a number of contemporary interviews and essays.
A reproduction of “Journey Through Time-Space”, an interview of William S. Burroughs by Daniel Odier, from issue 67, is at pages 196-211.
“The Boston Trial of ‘Naked Lunch’, from issue 36, is reproduced at pages 58-68.
There are also a number of Burroughs-mentioning cover and advertisements throughout.
In addition, reproductions of "Cut-Ups by Brion Gysin: A Project for Disastrous Success” is reproduced from issue 32, at pages 46-49. This is followed by “Cut-Ups Self-Explained” (from the same issue) at pages 50-51.
This specific copy – which is signed and dated by the editor and compiler Pat Thomas – was acquired from Elliott Bay Bookstore (Seattle, Washington, US).
