"Chaos Never Died" at Tribal Warning Theatre (c.1989)

San Francisco, California, US: Tribal Warning Theatre (program), undated, c.1989.
8.5" x 5.5 (closed), one folded sheet, four pages.

A program for a performance of Chaos Never Died at Tribal Warning Theatre (San Francisco, California, US) in the late 1980's (c.1989). This is a four-act performance which begins with the reading of Hakim Bey's Chaos. Act II, "The Future Is with Control", relates to William S. Burroughs, Ian Sommerville, and a computer called "Control." Act III, "Madarrpa: Journey to the Crocodiles Nest", is about Dreamtime, the nature of reality, and contains some text from William S. Burroughs' The Job (with Daniel Odier). Act IV is called "Blood Ritual". The soundtrack for the performance includes the voice of William S. Burroughs, among other sources.

Tribal Warning Theatre was started by DJ Cheb i Sabbah [Haim Sérge El Baaz], Suzanne Thomas, and – I think – Ira Cohen, although records online are scarce.

This scarce program was acquired from William Reese Company (New Haven, Connecticut, US).
