A photobook of sorts, where photos of hands precede photos of the full figure, separated by bound-in tissue sheets. 

This contains multiple photos of William S. Burroughs (including the cover images), but includes many other artists, writers, etc. as well.  Images of Burroughs are by Ulrich Hillebrand and Michael Heitmann.
