The Book of Breeething by William S. Burroughs, as published by Blue Wind Press (Berkeley, California, US) as a second edition softcover. Illustrated by Robert F. Gale, and with a photo by Gerard Malanga of Burroughs on the rear cover.
Note that this title is "... Breeething" rather than the true first Henri Chopin published "The Book of Breething" [two 'e's]
This copy is signed by William S. Burroughs on the first cover page.
Note that there are a number of visual differences between the 1975 first (thus) edition and the 1980 second edition, aside from the statement "second edition" on the first title page, copyright page, and the back cover of the second edition:
- The layout of the second edition cover is different, with a change to the hieroglyphics, a scaling up of the Robert Gale illustration, and a change in typeface and alignment of the title
- The second edition is lacking the blue cover pages that the first edition has
- The spine of the first edition is in mixed-case, whereas the second edition is fully capital letters
- The color of the second edition is darker in tone and more yellow-orange in color
- "Blue Wind Press" is not noted on the back cover of the first (thus) edition, and instead states "AN OVERDRIVE BOOK", a statement lacking in the second edition.
- The spine logo is red on the first (thus) edition, and is black on the second edition
