9.625" x 7.25" x 0.625" (book); 9.875" x 7.25" x 0.875" (slipcase), 134 pages, hardcover with dust-jacket, in slipcase.
The Covent Garden Press [Dr. N. C. Nothmann] & Am Here Books [Richard A. Aaron] edition of William S. Burroughs' Port of Saints, Burroughs' last written work in England before returning to America in the mid-1970s. This edition includes a number of illustrations and images and differs somewhat in text from the edition later published by Blue Wind Press. This was intended for release in 1973 [the copyright date], but due to a combination of labor and paper shortage issues in England, this was not released until 1975.
Two-hundred copies of this edition were produced. One-hundred of these were signed and numbered by William S. Burroughs, and released in a white slipcase. Another hundred were released unnumbered, unsigned, and without slipcase."All copies of the signed limited edition were issued in dust jackets with the upper left-hand corner clipped off since the printed price was correct only for the hardbound trade edition and incorrect for the limited edition. They were clipped and the book sold at a higher price." [Shoaf]
This copy is one of the signed, numbered, and slipcased copies, number 3/100. This copy was previously in the collection of Darin Scope (UK), and was acquired from him directly.
