This book is primarily a memoir of their relationship, but this also includes a number of mentions of William S. Burroughs, including their initial visit to Boulder to meet Burroughs -- and meeting Steven Lowe, who went on from assisting Burroughs to open The Beat Hotel at the Desert Hot Springs Motel outside of Palm Springs, on shooting the "Dr. Benway" scene with Burroughs and Jackie Curtis, and attending the premiere of Burroughs: the Movie.
