"A Visit with William S. Burroughs, Lawrence, Kansas, 2 February 1991" by Robert Peters

Irvine, California: Robert Peters (typescript, photograph), 1991.
envelope: 12.5" x 9.375", white paper, foxing and cello-tape mending.
folder: 11.5" x 8.875", blue card, two-hole clasp, with "Peters Visits Burroughs" and a circled "5" on the front cover.

A blue paper folder binding an 8-page typescript (rectos only) of poet Robert Peters' visit to the home of William S. Burroughs on February 2, 1991. A photograph of Burroughs and Peters (GSP) is affixed to the inside front cover [taken by James Grauerholz]. The folder is in a white paper envelope, as received.

On the 2nd page, it is noted that this is a "[p]rivate edition limited to 20 copies signed by the author" and is noted as copy #5/20.

On the 1st page, there is an inscription: "Dear Jim – / This #5 is for you – / Hope you like it. /  Much love, & hope / things are still improving for you – / Bob Peters [with a small flower drawing] / Feb 18, 1951"

I asked around in 2020 and received a forwarded email from James Grauerholz to the poet Charles Plymell, stating that the "Jim" in this inscription is him and that the photo in this item was taken by him. I have printed out this email and maintain it with Peters' folder.

This was acquired from John K. King Used and Bare Books (Detroit, Michigan, US).

Not in Shoaf.
