London: Harriet Crowder (photograph, later print direct from negative, initialed and stamped), 1961/2014

12” x 9.5” later printing of Burroughs seated in a chair smoking a cigarette.  From Jim Penington:

"Melville Hardiment... had invited Burroughs to record his thoughts whilst under the influence of some science lab DMT that Dennis Evans had cooked up in the basement at Imperial College. [A]sked after the first dose how he felt, drawled that it wasn’t very strong and could he have some more."

Initialed and stamped by the artist on verso, with a sticker from Aloes Books (2014).

Acquired from Jim Pennington (Aloes Books) directly.
