Queer, a soundtrack by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, for the film by Luca Guadagniño, as released as a cobalt blue vinyl LP by Milan Records / Sony Music (Los Angeles, California, US) in 2024. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross wrote, arranged, produced, performed, and mixed the score. Jacob Moreno produced and engineered the score. Peter Rotter was the score coordinator. Dustin Mosley provided additional sound design. Mastered by Stephen Marsh. Robin Urdang was the music supervisor. John Crawford was the creative director. Kate Leib and Rebecca Embling supported product development. Pablo Manyer was the production director.
The film was based on William S. Burroughs' novel Queer, and Burroughs also has a writing credit on the album for the track "Vaster Than Empires."
The inside of the gatefold clearly references Burroughs' scrapbooks in layout, and the inside sleeve reproduces part of Burroughs' August 1, 1997 journal entry, in his handwriting: "Love? What is it? Most natural pain-killer what there is. LOVE."
