This contains two items of Burroughs interest. First, item 18 is a copy of the 1962 amici brief filed in the U.S. Supreme Court related to the Henry Miller Tropic of Cancer obscenity case, inscribed on the front in 1965 by Edward de Grazia (1927–2013), who filed the brief, to William S. Burroughs. Edward de Grazia is also known as the author of Girls Lean Back Everywhere: The Law of Obscenity and the Assault on Genius. Second, item 54 is a complete run of Black Mountain Review (1954–1957). Sections of William S. Burroughs’ Naked Lunch first appeared in issue 7, of which only about 350 copies were released.
