Beat Art: Visual Works by and about the Beat Generation, an exhibition catalogue for the event held 17–22 May 1994 at the New York University School of Education. This was co-sponsored by the New York University School of Education, the Department of Art and Art Professions, the Office of Program Development, and the Office of Special Programs. The event was curated by Edward Adler and Bernard Mindich/ The catalogue was designed by Valerie Sauers.

A text on William S. Burroughs is on pages 6–7, with reproductions of two of Burroughs' artworks: Swan Songs Echo (n.d., mixed media) and Call (1991, painting on paper). This additionally reproduces photographs of Burroughs by Allen Ginsberg, Christopher Felver, and Gerard Malanga.
This copy of the catalogue is signed by William S. Burroughs on the inside front cover, just below the well-known image of Hal Chase, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, and William S. Burroughs together in New York City in 1944. This copy was acquired from Jeffrey Weinberg of Water Row Books (Massachusetts, US).
