Ramuntcho Matta's The Cat Inside, a CD primarily of overlapping audio tape snippets of William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin, as performed in Matta's installation at Maison de l'International de Grenoble, during a "Zone IP" event, on 23 October 2007. Edited by Romain de Gueltzl. Mixed and treated by Frederic Dutertre. Graphic design by Cesar Restrepo.
This includes a short essay on the Beat Hotel, 9 rue Gît-le-Cœur, by Serge Grünberg, as well as "Burroughs at the Beat Hotel," uncredited but likely by Ramuntcho Matta. Burroughs and Gysin are mentioned in these short essays.
The Burroughs and Gysin audio used in these recordings includes material from the Burroughs Electronic Revolution CD as well as Gysin's Poem of Poems. The sound of a purring cat is also part of the soundtrack.
