Four photographs taken by Philip Heying during the William S. Burroughs funeral procession from Lawrence, Kansas, US to St. Louis, Missouri, US in August of 1997. These depict the hearse and vehicles during a break, José Férez Kuri and John Giorno at Burroughs' childhood home, Anne Waldman and John Giorno at a rest stop on I-70, and Philip Heying and John Giorno at James Grauerholz's home in Lawrence, Kansas.

These were acquired as gifts from Philip Heying, photographer and friend of Burroughs, at a 2026 visit to his Kansas home. My annotations are on the versos, from information Philip shared with me.
