Shamans of the Blind Country [German: Schamanen im Blinden Land], a 16mm ethnographic documentary film by Michael Oppitz, was shot in Nepal between 1978 and 1979 and first premiered in New York City in 1980. Directed by Michael Oppitz with camera work by Jörg Jeshel and Rudi Palla. Sound by Barbara Becker. Editing by Hella Vietzke. 

William S. Burroughs and Victor Bertini contribute the narration for the English version of this film, with Burroughs beginning at 9'33" into the film. German narration is provided by Christhart Burgmann and Michael Oppitz.  

This is the 2017 boxed set release of the film on DVD. This contains English and German versions of both parts of this long documentary [97 minutes and 126 minutes], two CDs of "Mystical Chants" [70 minutes and 43 minutes], a DVD of film extras, and a 128-page bilingual book by Michael Oppitz.
