The memorial card for James Grauerholz — friend, business manager, and estate of William S. Burroughs owner, as well as an active musician, producer, and writer — as printed for his funeral by Warren-McElwain Mortuary. James Grauerholz died on 1 January 2026.

This card has a photograph by Philip Heying on the cover of James Grauerholz reading Burroughs' Naked Lunch. A painting by William S. Burroughs is inside the card with the text of Grauerholz's "Perfect Pitch Cannot Be Learned." The back of the card has the text of Frank O'Hara's "Lana Turner has collapsed!"

This copy was acquired as a gift from the Estate of William S. Burroughs [and James Grauerholz] during a 2026 visit to Lawrence, Kansas, US.
