Word Virus: The William S. Burroughs Reader, an anthology of Burroughs' writings, edited by James Grauerholz and Ira Silverberg, as published in hardcover by Grove Press (New York City) in 1998. This was reprinted in softcover in 2000 by Grove Press. This contains a preface by Ira Silverberg, an introduction by Ann Douglas, and an "Epilogue" by James Grauerholz. Book design by Laura Hammond Hough, and jacket design by Evan Gaffney, with a photograph by Kate Simon.
This includes an eight-track CD, Selections from The Best of William Burroughs from Giorno Poetry Systems, at the back of the book.
