"The Beat Journals, Volume One" (1995)

Binley Woods, England: Beat Scene Press (book, anthology), June 1995.
8.25" x 5.75" x 0.375", 100 pages, softcover, no ISBN.

The Beat Journals: Interviews, Essays & More – Volume One, edited by Kevin Ring and published in an edition of 400 softcover copies by Beat Scene Press (Binley Woods, England) in June 1995. This is an anthology of interviews and writings by and about the Beat writers.

This contains "William S. Burroughs & Other Tales", an interview between Beat Scene Press publisher Kevin Ring and William S. Burroughs, pp. 21-22.

Anne Waldman's "June Dream", pp. 84-85, references Burroughs: "I am a three-dimensional map for Doctor 'Sneakers' Burroughs. The Doctor is examining his map closely with a large glass eye..."

William S. Burroughs also appears on both the front and back covers. The front image is originally from Antony Balch's Towers Open Fire [rather than Destroy All Rational Thought]. The back image is indeed reproduced in Here To Go: Planet R-101 on page 130 of that book.

This copy was received from Beat Scene Press publisher Kevin Ring.
