Terry Wilson's "'D' Train" (1985)

London, England: Grapheme Publications (book, blurb), 1985.
8.75" x 5.625" x 0.75", 153 pages, hardcover with dust jacket, ISBN 0-946459-03-7.

'D' Train by Terry Wilson, as published in hardcover by Grapheme Publications (London, England) in 1985. Cover photograph of Terry Wilson by David de Lara. This is a book highly inspired by Brion Gysin, on whom the character "Bedaya" is modeled.

William S. Burroughs supplies a long blurb to the rear dust jacket panel:

"'D' TRAIN routes the reader through the reader through the Land of the Dead. In this perilous passage, the only one a man can trust, the only one who can guide him through the Land of the Dead, is his Ka, his Psychic Double. And the Ka needs the man as much as the man needs his Ka. A tragic impasse blocks all but a very few from the Ka.

"'D' TRAIN is a significant and timely book since it expresses this basic spiritual alienation in modern terms.

"It isn't forgone like salvation. It's a desperate quest for psychic integration.

"'D' TRAIN is a book concerned with spiritual basics. Young boys need it special. They may even listen."

There is a second, small blurb by Burroughs at the rear dust jacket flap for Here To Go: Planet R-101: "A great interview."

This copy was acquired from Jeffrey Weinberg at Water Row Books.
