Painting & Guns by William S. Burroughs, as published in a softcover with jacket format by Hanuman Books (Madras, India, and New York City) in 1992, as #46 of their series. The Cover photo of Burroughs is from 1984 by Allen Ginsberg. At the center of the book is an image of William S. Burroughs and artist David Bradshaw taken in 1990 by Allya Canepa. Designed and printed for Hanuman publishers Francesco Clemente and Raymond Foye by C. Nachiappan of the Kalakshetra Press (Madras, India). Madras editor was George Scrivani, and New York editor was Paul Rickert.

This diminutive, short book by Burroughs contains "The Creative Observer" and "The War Universe".

This specific copy belonged to Ira Cohen and is briefly inscribed by William S. Burroughs to Ira. This was acquired from Aeon Bookstore (New York City).
