Texas: Michael Stevens (book, proof), 2004.
11" x 9" x 1", 215 leaves, printed recto only, in comb-binding with transparent cover sheet and black backing sheet.
The Road to Interzone: Reading William S. Burroughs Reading as released in a small number of pre-release/proof copies by author Michael Stevens (Texas, US) in 2004, five years before the publishing of the first edition through Suicide Press. This is a thick, comb-bound book with printing only on the recto side of its 215 unpaginated leaves. This includes a unique six-page introduction by Michael Stevens and a small number of photographs.
The exact number of copies is not known for sure, but is assumed to be fifteen, as this is numbered 8/15 on the verso of the final page.
This copy was acquired from Granary Books (New York City).
This is noted in Shoaf as IV.271, a "complete draft of an unpublished manuscript that analyzes Burroughs' reading habits through his life including his personal library."
