"The Dark Eye" (1995)

Los Angeles, California, US: Inscape (video game, CD-ROM), 1995.
5" x 5.625" x 0.375", CD-ROM and booklet in jewel case without original box.

The Dark Eye, a video game made for Windows (3.1 minimum) and Macintosh (Apple, System 7.1 minimum) on CD-ROM produced by Inscape (Los Angeles, California, US) in 1995. This is a game based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe featuring the voice of William S. Burroughs in two long scenes ("The Masque of the Red Death" and "Annabel Lee"), and in a number of other spots throughout the game as the voice of an older gentleman. Thomas Dolby and Headspace created the music and sound design.

This game will not run on modern systems without emulation of earlier operating systems, being over 30 years old now.

This specific copy is Janet Galore's and is maintained in the archive.  I once had a boxed copy which unfortunately was lost.
