Lita Hornick's Memoir, "The Green Fuse" (1989)

New York City: Giorno Poetry Systems (book, memoir, biography), 1989.
10" x 7.5" x 0.5", 152 pages, softcover, ISBN 1-877957-00-3.

Lita Hornick's memoir The Green Fuse, as published by Giorno Poetry Systems (New York City) in 1989.

Lita Hornick was a editor, publisher, art patron, and collector who supported Kulchur magazine, ran poetry readings at MoMA (Museum of Modern Art, NYC), and supported numerous poets and artists (John Giorno being commonly mentioned throughout the book).

This memoir is a bit thin on Burroughs, with only some short references, but leads with two photos of Burroughs at MoMA, and includes some excellent secondary context (such as that Kulchur was planning to publish William S. Burroughs' Roosevelt After Inauguration, but pulled it on concern of obscenity, and the story went to The Floating Bear to be published).
