Postcard for "finalCUT", the film and performance program accompanying the exhibition "the name is Burroughs – expanded media" at Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM), Karsruhe, Germany. The exhibition, curated by Udo Breger, Axel Heil and Peter Weibel, ran between March 24 and August 12, 2012. 

The image on the front of this postcard is of William S. Burroughs playing the President of the USA in David Zane Mairowitz's play "Flash Gordon and the Angels" at the Open Space Theatre in London, England, February 1971; in the play he only appeared on a television screen.

The film and performance program ran between August 10 and August 12, 2012, and the schedule is listed on the back of this postcard:

• August 10, 18:00: "Zum Medienkunstpreis on William S. Burroughs, 1993", with an introduction by Peter Weibel; "Perilous Passage" (2012), a book presentation with Ian MacFadyen and Terry Wilson
• August 10, 19:00: "Words of Advice" (2007), film screening with an introduction by director Lars Movin
• August 11, 18:00: "Shut the Fuck Up", a trash reading with Johnny Shadow
• August 11, 19:00: poetry performance by John Giorno
• August 12, 16:00: panel discussion with John Giorno, Ian MacFadyen, Carl Michael von Hausswolff, and Axel Heil [note: in conversation with CM von Hausswolff, he noted that he also showed their documentary film of travel to Alamut (1986) at this panel.]
• August 12, 18:00: "Burroughs: The Movie" by Howard Brookner, introduced by Udo Breger
