Hand-Job Press Edition of Ruski (1984)

Brooklyn, New York: Hand-Job Press (book, limited, numbered, inscribed), 1984.
5.5" x 4", 12 pages (unpaginated), stapled wraps.

Ruski by William S. Burroughs, as published by Christopher Blake's Hand-Job Press in Brooklyn, New York, 1984.  500 numbered copies issued. This is a fiction centered on the Great Gatsby's cat, Ruski. Ruski was also the name of one of William S. Burroughs's cats -- a Russian Blue.

This copy is number 22, and has a partial inscription by William S. Burroughs on the inside front cover, very likely intended for Andrew Wylie, his agent. This item was found in the Burroughs home after Burroughs died by his friend and collaborator Jim McCrary and was received directly from him.

I additionally hold a second, unsigned copy, number 452.
