A copy of the Grove Press first edition of William S. Burroughs' The Soft Machine, 1966, inscribed from William S. Burroughs to poet and artist Claude Pélieu and his wife Mary Beach, author, publisher, and artist.
This was signed unusually with two colors of felt-tip marker by Burroughs, undated. On the first free endpaper is a stamp for the periodical The San Francisco Earthquake, noting Claude Pélieu as editor.
