This is the 2001 uncorrected proof for the Grove Press edition which was never released by Grove; this book did not see a trade edition until 2006 through Soft Skull Press (Brooklyn, NY.).

This copy is signed from editor David Ohle to Lawrence, KS. artist Wayne Propst. Wayne was a close friend of William S. Burroughs, Sr. and Jr., both, and appears in the Yony Leyser documentary of Burroughs ("William S. Burroughs: A Man Within")

This is a reasonably well-read copy with some page staining and minor marginalia. Nevertheless the pages – unlike the released Soft Skull Press edition of 2006 – have remained bright over the years. This copy was acquired from Waugh Books (Lawrence, KS.).
