APO-33 Bulletin: A Metabolic Regulator by William S. Burroughs, a three-column work from sketchbook, compiled by Mary Beach and Claude Pélieu. Technically the second edition of this work, preceded by a very rare (i.e. most copies discarded) mimeographed edition by Ed Sanders' Fuck You Press. This is the first edition that was distributed to the public, in a run of 3,000 first printing copies. As described for this edition, there is nothing printed on the inside front cover of this copy, and the rear cover has the simple Beach Books logo and is missing the "Distributed by City Lights" notice that is on the third edition.
This first printing (thus) copy formerly in the collection of Asher D. Atchick, acquired through Freeman Auctions.
I also have a second printing of this edition in the archive, which is distinguished from the first by an explicit statement of printing on the inside front cover along with a list of Beach Books releases (the inside cover of the first printing is blank). Also released in an edition of 3000 copies.
