"Las escrituras del Tío Bill" by Deadwax
Spain?: Deadwax (chapbook, art, numbered), 2020.
8.25" x 5.75". 20 pages plus English-language insert sheet.
A chapbook by Deadwax with multiple pages of imagery and a 1-page description of the project in Spanish (the insert is an English translation):
"This notebook collects Uncle Bill's writings found and prepared by Deadwax for Ferran Destemple's Asemic Writings Project. Each page, unique in each of the copies published, has been contaminated, decomposed and infected by the signs and infiltrations of writing, printing and plotting, in the images of an old album extirpated from a chronicle of colonial subjugation of the black continent."
This contains a quote from Burroughs, from Electronic Revolution:
"In the Electronic Revolution I advance the theory that a virus IS a very small unit of word and image. I have suggested now [sic] such units can be biologically activated to act as communicable virus strains."
This coy is number 35/100, acquired from Jeffrey Weinberg, Water Row Books.
