"Interpole: The Lad Mag of Interzone" (n.d.)
New York: Planned Obsolescence Press (stapled photocopies), n.d.
11" x 8.5", 32 pages, stapled sheets
Interpole: The Lad Mag of Interzone, an essay exploring the claims of Burroughs' misogyny. This discusses his 'Burroughs Bulletins' in Mayfair magazine, includes an excerpt from Bulletin #23, includes letters to the editors of various publications about Burroughs, and is well-illustrated. This juxtaposes representations of women in the men's magazines of the time, particularly Mayfair, which Burroughs contributed to.
The author – a certain well-known Burroughs collector and scholar – is anonymous in this printing. An uncommon item.
